Non-selective installation

Collector:
  • Brutto collector area - 12 m2;
  • Netto absorber area - 10,9 m2;
  • Cu – serpentine absorber (each 1,5 m2) with pigmented SOLARLACK M40Li (absorption factor - 0,95, emissions factor – 0,86);
Storage tank (Pink):
  • 480 liter (stainless steel); integrated tube heat exchanges;
  • 7 cm PU foam moveable insulating;
  • Electronic regulation;
Selective installation

Monthly results:

Typically winter month:
Depending on the weather situation HW temperatures at the non-selective installation are increasing up to 40° at clear sunny days. In average the HW temperature has been 26° during January at the non-selective installation (operating monovalent), while the average HW consumption has been 119 l/day at this installation in Sofia.

Typically summer month:
The non-selective solar installation provides HW temperatures of 62.5° in average during July as a typical summer month result, maximum temperature increasing up to 74° and temperatures >70° available during 13 sunny days with high solar irradiation.

Daily results:
Increasing water temperature in the storage tank during spring sunny day

Non-selective solar collector starts earlier, at 10.00 a.m., when the black coated absorber sheets temperature raised up to a temperature 10°K higher than the sensor temperature of the boiler down.. HW temperature TB-up was increased from 20° minimum at 12:00 up to 50°C when it stopped at 19:00 p.m. with the sunset, at a total consumption of 800 l hot water during the day. The significant difference in the graph is caused by measuring the absorber sheets temperature at the non-selective, while the collector liquide temperature at the selective installation is the sensor indicator for the electronic regulation.
