| Received, converted and consumed energy – Selective installation (7,7m2): | |
The received total solar radiation TSR by the selective installation of 7.7 m² has been 10364 kWh throughout the year 2001. From this amount 4492 kWh or 43% in average has been converted to thermal energy by the selective collector, available for HW consumption.
| Received, converted and consumed energy – Non-selective inst. (10,9m2): | |
The non-selective installation received a total solar radiation TSR of 14670 kWh during the year 2001 on the inclined collector area of 10.9 m². 3972 kWh has been converted to thermal energy, giving an average efficiency of 27% for the non-selective collector.
| Specific converted solar energy per m2, TSR 40° – SSW (monthly sum): | |
The resulting specific converted energy for the selective collector with TINOX absorber is 583 kWh/m² per anno and for the non-selective Cu-collector with M40 solar lacquer coating 364 kWh/m² per anno. That means the specific output of the non-selective is 38% less than the selective.
| Resulting (average) HW temperature: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
Although we do have a significant difference of 38 % in the specific converted energy per m², the practical output of a 25 % smaller selective installation is resulting a nearby identical output of HW temperatur at both installations throughout the year. This installations are providing HW with T&gr;60° over 5 months, T&gr;50° from end of April to end of October, and T&gr;40° providing over a periode of 9 months.
