Vegetation Cover Conditions
More about fire risk and vegetation cover condition
Legend
Vegetation Cover State |
(levels of “dryness of the soil-vegetation system” as a precondition for initiation of wild fires) |
1. No favourable conditions for fires | Overmoistenning of the Land Cover, no favourable conditions for wild fires initiation. |
2. Low level of fire risk | Optimal moistening of the Land Cover, Low Probability for wild fires initiation and development. |
3. Moderate level of fire risk | Soil Moisture Deficit is observed, vegetation drying has began and susceptibility to ignition. Increased attention in working with fire in an open space is recommended. |
4. High level of fire risk | High Level of Soil Moisture Deficit, intensive drying of vegetation fuel material, a potential fire would actively develop. To avoid working with fire in an open space. |
5. Very High level of fire risk | Prolonged High Level of Soil Moisture Deficit, dry vegetation material, a potential fire would actively develop. Easy ignition and fast development of fire are possible. Working with fire in an open space is forbidden. |
6. Extremely High level of fire risk | Prolonged period of Maximum Soil Moisture Deficit, very dry vegetation material, strongly susceptibility to ignition. Difficult to take possession of fire. Working with fire in an open space is strongly forbidden. |
